HOBBIES

If I’m not working, watching TV, or spending time with friends and family, you can find me partaking in these hobbies!

Digital Art

I love using Adobe Illustrator and other digital art tools to design graphics for my papers (and this website!), but I also enjoy to just draw for fun. Here’s a New Yorker cover I designed featuring a Christmas at the precinct building from Brooklyn 99.

Music

I love playing musical instruments. I have studied jazz and classical percussion for over 15 years, and I also play piano and guitar. Music is 100% my escape from the stressors of graduate school and research. Here’s a photo of me performing my arrangement of Gary Burton’s Times Like These at Lincoln Center in New York City.

3D Modeling and Printing

I also greatly enjoy 3D modeling and 3D printing. I build my own 3D-printers, and beyond using them for making electrochemical cells, I also use them to print out projects for my own enjoyment, like this replica hoverboard from Back to the Future 2! If you like this, check out the real, working hoverboard my team built in 48 hours to win the MakeCU Hackathon!
